The Airlift is...
✔️Easy to use and recommended by veterinarians and Search & Rescue

✔️Packable in a stuff sack (so it can always live in the bottom of your backpack)
✔️Designed to fit medium, large & extra-large dogs
✔️Created by dog lovers for dog lovers, so you can always adventure with peace of mind
No matter if you’re a mile from the trailhead or more, you’ll be able to carry your dog to safety... even if you're alone.
Choose the right size:
The measurements listed below are the ranges that will fit each Airlift size.
Medium Size: 9 - 20 kg., 23 - 35 cm. from back leg to front leg
Large/Original Size: 20 - 32 kg., 33 - 45 cm. from back leg to front leg
XL Size: 32 - 68 kg., 43 - 61 cm. from back leg to front leg (consider the Airlift XL-2 package, which includes additional accessories)
If your dog is in between sizes, we recommend buying the larger size. This is not a custom-fit sling, and it's safe and functional if the Airlift is a little loose on the dog. But, please measure your dog to make sure your Airlift will not be too small.
See the how-to guide & videos below to properly measure your dog.
"At our small mountain town practice, we regularly see such injuries as torn ACLs, lacerations, heat stroke, fractures from falls, wounds from wildlife encounters, and just about anything else you can imagine. These conditions are serious enough if they happen in the backyard or at the dog park, but more commonly they happen far from home. I can’t possibly express how many times I’ve heard the harrowing tale of carrying a large dog down from the summit of a mountain, trudging with an injured pet through a slot canyon, up a river, or post-holing out of the backcountry while carrying a scared, hurt dog.
Paul’s product allows the outdoor enthusiast to take their four-legged sidekick on all the adventures they love. Having the confidence to safely and effectively immobilize your dog, and extract them from a remote location to seek medical attention is invaluable. The care and attention to canine anatomy is evident in the design, and the convenience is obvious in the weight of the product. Fido Pro provides a peace of mind that every dog-lover and wanderer shouldn’t leave home without."

The Airlift XL-2 Package includes accessories to convert the extra-large size Airlift into a two-person, assisted carry system.
This Airlift system is designed for dogs between 70 - 150 lbs., and the package comes with attachable shoulder padding and two straps that allow a second person to support the person carrying the dog.
The Airlift XL-2 stuff sack weighs a total of 10 oz. including the Airlift and accessories.
With this system, the second person can use the straps to:
- Assist in lifting and loading the dog onto the primary carrier's back
- Help the primary carrier with balance by pulling the person and dog up steep hills and braking for them on downhills
- Support some of the dog's weight on flatter terrain
The Airlift XL-2 Package includes:
1. Size XL Airlift with multiple anchor points to attach the second person, daisy-chain straps
2. Two 6-foot daisy-chain straps
3. Two snap-link carabiners
4. One set (2) feather-weight shoulder padding
5. Laminated instruction card
*The Airlift size XL can be purchased individually and comes with the modifications to add the 2-person options later if you so choose.
How To Use:
Step-by-Step Airlift XL-2 Instructions PDF
Airlift by Fido Pro Features & Benefits PDF
The attachable daisy-chain straps have multiple hand-loops for easy adjustment and can be used by the second person behind the primary carrier of the dog or in front.
Lifting onto the primary carrier's back – The second person can assist in lifting the dog onto the primary carrier's back. To do this, find the metal o-rings along the front side of the Airlift, clip the carabiner to the o-ring located in the middle of the Airlift, then thread the other end of the daisy-chain strap through the other o-rings that act as guides to prevent the straps from moving around and potentially harming the dog.
Assisting up/down steep terrain – You can help to pull the person and dog up steep hills and brake for them on the downhill by attaching the daisy-chain straps to the sewn loops on the Airlift shoulder straps (front facing and rear facing).
Supporting on flatter terrain – On flatter terrain the second person can also assist by utilizing the o-rings that run under the dogs chest and midsection.
This system is easy to use and laminated instructions are included in the Airlift XL-2 package.
Please Note:
The Airlift XL-2 is not a system that provides 50%-50% weight distribution between two people carrying a dog, rather it enables a second person to assist in carrying the dog.
***The Airlift XL-2 can support a stagnant load in excess of 200 lbs, the limitation is on the individual strength and fitness of the person carrying the dog. Please be sure you can handle this type of lifting and exertion prior to attempting to carry your heavy dog. Fido Pro Corp is not responsible for any injury sustained to dog or human while using any of its products

Customer Reviews
We have taken every measure to design an emergency dog-carrying sling that will provide a comfortable ride for the dog and carry for the human. Please do keep in mind that this dog sling is for emergency situations.
If you have an extra-large dog, consider buying the XL-2 package with the added accessories to make it easier and more comfortable to carry a larger dog. Attachable shoulder padding can also be purchased separately and used with any size Airlift to make the sling more comfortable for the human.
Yes! Veterinarians have reviewed the Airlift's design and recommend it. Fido Pro is also proud to be a frequent guest speaker at veterinary medicine universities presenting the Airlift as an emergency sling.
Here's what one veterinarian had to say about the Airlift's design:
"Having the confidence to safely and effectively immobilize your dog, and extract them from a remote location to seek medical attention is invaluable. The care and attention to canine anatomy is evident in the Airlift’s design, and the convenience is obvious in the weight of the product." — Dr. Ben Mackin, Veterinarian, Carbondale Animal Hospital
No! We highly recommend permanently keeping the Airlift in the bottom of your backpack and always taking it with you, whether you're going on a casual two-mile trail or 10-mile adventure. Even if an injury occurred just a mile from the car, it may be difficult to carry the dog due to their weight or the injury. Depending on the dog's injury, carrying the dog in your arms or on your shoulders may injure the dog further.
And, while it may be possible to carry a medium-size dog for very short distances, like into the vet's office, carrying an injured dog for a mile or more on uneven terrain is a much more difficult circumstance.
We recommend considering both length and weight of the dog to determine the best Airlift size. To measure length, measure from half way down the front leg straight back to the same spot on the rear leg.
The measurements listed below are the ranges that will fit each Airlift size.
Medium Size: 20 - 45 lbs., 9 - 14 inches from back leg to front leg
Large/Original Size: 45 - 70 lbs., 13 - 18 inches from back leg to front leg
XL Size: 70 - 150 lbs., 17 - 24 inches from back leg to front leg (consider the Airlift XL-2 package, which includes additional accessories)
If your dog is in between sizes, we recommend buying the larger size. This is not a custom-fit sling, and it's safe and functional if the Airlift is a little loose on the dog. But, please measure your dog to make sure your Airlift will not be too small.
If your dog is a German Shepherd or Greyhound (or similar) that is longer than normal for its weight, we also recommend that you buy the larger size.
